Style Muse Privacy Policy

Style Muse is a personal outfit analysis app. This policy explains what information we use, why we use it, and what choices you have.

1. Quick Summary

• We use your photos to generate outfit analysis results for you.
• Before your first AI analysis, we ask your permission before sending data to our AI provider.
• We use basic account and device session data to keep your account secure.
• We use subscription data to manage premium access.
• We use privacy-friendly analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase) to understand app usage and measure our ad campaigns, without cross-app tracking.
• We do not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
• We do not sell your personal information.
• You can request access or deletion of your data by contacting us.

2. Information We Collect

A) Information You Provide

• Outfit photos you upload
• Optional style inputs you provide in the app

B) Information Created When You Use the App

• Analysis results (such as score, suggestions, and warnings)
• Wardrobe records tied to uploaded images
• Technical image metadata (such as file type, size, upload time, and image hash)

C) Account and Security Information

• Internal account identifiers
• Language and locale preferences
• Device session data (device ID, platform, app version, last active time)
• Security tokens stored in hashed form

D) Subscription Information

• Entitlement and subscription status needed to provide premium features
• Billing-related webhook events for purchase validation and fraud prevention

We do not store full payment card numbers. Payments are handled by app stores and billing providers.

E) App Permissions

With your permission, Style Muse can access:

• Camera (to take photos)
• Photo library (to upload photos)

You can turn permissions off at any time in iOS Settings.

F) Analytics and Measurement Data

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used and to measure the effectiveness of our marketing and app install campaigns. Through this service we may collect:

• Usage data, such as app opens, screen views, in-app events, and feature interactions
• An analytics identifier (an app-instance ID generated by the analytics SDK)
• Approximate (coarse) location derived from your IP address, such as region or city, used for audience analytics

We do not use the device Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and we do not display the App Tracking Transparency prompt. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not use this data for cross-app advertising. On iOS, app install and conversion measurement for our ad campaigns is performed in an aggregated, privacy-preserving way (Apple's SKAdNetwork) and does not identify you individually.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use information to:

• Provide outfit analysis and wardrobe features
• Return your AI-generated results
• Secure your account and sessions
• Enforce plan limits and prevent abuse
• Operate, debug, and improve service reliability
• Understand app usage through analytics to improve features
• Measure the effectiveness of our marketing and app install campaigns (in aggregate)
• Meet legal and compliance obligations

4. AI Processing

To generate your analysis, Style Muse sends your outfit photo, optional style inputs, selected outfit category or styling preferences, language context, and limited technical metadata to third-party AI service providers through our server. We only send the minimum data needed to create the requested analysis and improvement suggestions.

Current third-party AI providers may include Google, OpenAI, and Anthropic.

Before any outfit photo or related personal style data is transmitted to a third-party AI provider for the first time, Style Muse displays a dedicated in-app disclosure and requests the user's explicit consent. If you do not allow, no AI analysis request is sent.

5. When We Share Information

We share data only when needed to run the service, including with:

• Cloud storage and delivery providers
• Third-party AI service providers for AI analysis processing
• Subscription and billing processors
• Security and infrastructure service providers
• Analytics and advertising-measurement providers (such as Google Analytics for Firebase)
• Authorities, when required by law or to protect rights and safety

For AI processing, the shared payload can include your uploaded photo, optional style notes, locale, and related technical metadata needed to return results.

For analytics and campaign measurement, we share usage data, an analytics identifier, and approximate location derived from your IP address with our analytics provider (Google Analytics for Firebase). This is used for first-party analytics and aggregated campaign measurement only, not for cross-app tracking.

We require third-party processors we share data with to provide the same or equal protection of user data as described in this policy, and to process data only for authorized service purposes.

We do not sell personal information.

6. How Long We Keep Data

We keep data only as long as needed for service operation and legal/security needs. Typical retention periods are:

• Analysis image/record data: usually about 7 to 14 days
• Saved wardrobe items and combo history: kept until you delete them or reset your data
• Operational logs: usually about 14 days
• Billing webhook event records: usually up to about 90 days

In some cases, we may keep data longer for legal obligations, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or security investigations.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information, including authenticated access controls and secure data handling. No system is perfectly secure.

8. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Request access to your personal data
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Request restriction or objection to certain processing
• Request data portability where applicable
